It's been a crazy month for us here as we have hit the homestretch! We had the opportunity to fly home to California in May for a quick visit. Matt and I were able to spend some quality time with my family as well as some of our supporters in Rohnert Park. We were able to give a quick update at church and share the vision that God has placed in our hearts about Nashville. I was so blessed by the ladies of Calvary Chapel "The Rock" as they threw me a wonderful baby shower. It was a great time to catch up and I was able to get some amazing gifts for Liam! A special thanks to Lori Williams and Julie Acuna for the awesome gluten free food!
Next stop...Bakersfield.
Next, we traveled by train to Bakersfield for a bridal shower for my best friend, Susan. It felt so good to be back in my hometown. This was the first time in a year that Layne, Denise, Susan, and myself were together again and we made good use of our time! It's hard to believe that after all these years we are all living in different places living out God's specific will for our lives. Gail Fast and the ladies of Rosedale Bible Church were so thoughtful and threw me a gift card baby shower. It was overwhelming to be surrounded by the ladies who have watched me grow up and to see the love they still have for me even after all these years. I am so thankful to have their love and support. I was beyond honored and touched by their gracious gifts and the time they made for me.

After a couple days at home we made a quick weekend trip to Missouri to visit Matt's family. We were able to spend some good time catching up with his family as well as many supporters and friends from church. We would like to give a special thanks to Terry and Cindy Elliot and
Linda Jett for taking us out to lunch. We had a great time catching up with you!
